Young America by Stanley Basecamp Low Post Panel Bed

Even when they're little, kids just want to grow up. With the Basecamp Low Post Panel Bed, they can - but don't worry. It's just a small step. This bold, Arts and Crafts-inspired piece is made for kids transitioning into their first big-kid beds. It's designed with the scaled-down style and sophistication of an adult bed, complete with built-in safety rails and an easy-to-use slatted design.

The bed is crafted from durable maple, select hardwood solids, and cherry veneers matched and hand-finished in a rich, warm cherry shade. Heavy distressing - including fly-specking, worm holes, and rasping - gives the piece a lived-in feel. Your own mattress fits right on top of a roll of wooden slats, so you won't need a box spring or bunkie board. Side rails can start in a low-lock position immediately after kids make their move into the bed. After they get used to the change, you can flip the rails up to a high-lock position, at which point you could also add the optional pull-out twin trundle or under-bed storage (not included).

The slightly arched headboard and coordinating squared-off footboard feature intricate, architectural wood piecing, as well as four subtly carved posts. Twin and full sizes available. Coordinates with other Basecamp collection pieces.
