The Ma Marie Panel Bed perfectly straddles the line between the two: It's got super-pretty scalloping to please little princesses, but its downplayed detail and modern color options will age well as those ladies-in-waiting grow up.

This elegant panel bed is crafted in the USA from durable poplar and select hardwood solids and veneers with some simulated wood components. The wood gets its Old World charm from light antiquing, including gentle fly-specking and dry-brushing. And then, of course, come the colors - in this case, you and your child choose from six striking hues: black light antique, cotton candy light antique, French white light antique, lavender light antique, sea grass light antique, or sky blue light antique. Each one highlights the bed's Provencal detail: scalloped panels with simply carved accents and lightly shaped feet at the base of the footboard. Add ruffled bedding for girly girls and pale, monochromatic blankets and pillows for tweens.

Available in twin or full size, the bed features two bed rail positions. Use the low-lock position for small children who have just graduated to a big kid bed. Use the high-lock position for older children, or to make space for the optional pull-out twin trundle unit below. Because the included slat roll system provides ample mattress support, you won't need to use a box spring. Just add your own mattress and fade off to dreamland.
