I got this bed for my 3 year old. Its alittle higher then i thought it would be and she does have alittle trouble getting in it. But its an extremely sturdy bed and it looks beautiful in her room. I didnt want a bed to bulky and its not. Its a clean, simple and attractive bed that she will be able to use for many many years. I looked at alot of beds. For the price it really is a great bed.

Love the bed, but a few tips to others. I chose the Antique Walnut finish with raised panels and 4 storage drawers- definitely the way to go for maximum elegance. The wood quality is EXCELLENT AND solid, and the finish is beautiful, going very well with my antique dressers in my master bedroom. The bed was easy to assemble by yourself if 1) You use an electric screwdriver to attach the slats to the bed since no holes are pre-drilled. My wrist still hurts from hand-screwing in the wood screws! and 2) You use the small washers on the long bolts and the large washers on the small bolts (not explained in the instructions). Also, the platform was too hard for me with just a mattress(I have a bad back), so I had to use my box spring. With the storage drawers, this makes the bed very high, but I can still climb up without a stepstool. I will look for a slimmer box spring later.

Bought this bed for my daughter's small bedroom. Bed fits nicely, is sturdy, and was easy to assemble. I gave it four stars because attaching the wood slats to the bed frame required drilling holes into the frame. But otherwise, this is a great product for the price. I would buy other products from Hayneedle again.

THIS IS A GREAT QUALITY BED. I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED BUYING A BED ON-LINE BUT THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. IT IS NOT CHEAPLY MADE.

We searched local furniture stores and were not happy with the quality and prices for storage platform beds. This bed is solid wood, held together with bolts and not stapled like other manufacturers and the price was substantially lower for a higher quality bed. The bed stands at regular height even though it uses a mattress without box spring. The drawers are very deep and hold lots of clothing. we got the raised panel option and it makes the bed look so rich.
