And don't worry about having to ditch this piece too soon. It's constructed of solid rubberwood, which is stronger than Northern Red Oak. According to tests conducted by Federal Test Laboratories, this is the ideal wood for furniture manufacturing. Plus, mortise-and-tenon joinery on the bed ends provides superior strength and safety, exceeding the National Safety Standards for loft beds.

Assembly is super easy - we've included bed rails, bed components, the slat deck (that connects with only very simple tools), and hardware. As needs or preference change, the loft beds easily convert to two twin beds. We recommend a 7-inch mattress (not included) thickness; the surface should rest 5 inches below the upper edge of the guardrail.
