Straight from the shores of the East Coast, this classic bed looks like it came from a summer beach house. Traditionally styled with a paneled headboard, footboard, and security sides with smooth white lines, the KidKraft Nantucket Toddler Bed is the small child's version of the classic American original. It's constructed from strong and durable rubberwood and painted in white with lead-free, non-toxic paint. Recommended age is 15 months and older, not to exceed a weight capacity of 50 pounds. A regular crib mattress can be used with this charming bed (mattress not included).


The beauty and benefits of rubberwood: Hailing from the maple family of trees, and originally native to Thailand, the rubber tree is used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, minimal shrinkage, attractive color and acceptance of different finishes. It is also prized as an "environmentally friendly" wood, as it makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing cycle.

    We love this bed! It shipped relatively quick, it was fairly simple to put together. It looks so sweet in my daughters room and its sturdy enough for my 2 year old and her friend to jump on it!     My son was/is very excited to be in a "big boy bed" and he is very happy with it. It is easy to get in and out of as it is close to the ground and also less danger for a fall. Surface seems durable and easy to wipe off. The bed with our 'heavy' organic cotton mattress makes it seem sturdy, with a lighter type mattress I would wonder if the bed would seem flimsy. It was easy to assemble and it looks good for the price. As my son is light and he will probably be in it for two years max, it is a very decent choice.

              I bought the toddler bed for my grandaughter to use at my house.

              Service and delivery comments:

              The first bed I ordered never made it to me it was damaged durung delivery and sent right back to company. Customer service was very helpful although the process to reorder the bed was stupid. I had to be refunded my money and reorder the bed. Other than that I was very happy.
